The Three Tuns Brewery

Nestled in the small market town of Bishop’s Castle, Shropshire, the historic Three Tuns Brewery holds tradition in the highest regard. Brewing from their iconic Grade II listed site, the 17th-century brewery is proud to craft its award-winning real ales the traditional way, using the finest ingredients to give each one its own unique Three Tuns Brewery flavour.

In their quest to embrace tradition, they brew in a classic, miniature Victorian tower, meaning their beer is not only moved by gravity, but each brew also captures the essence and history of its truly unique surroundings. Before the beer reaches you, it begins its journey in the original brewhouse – now the fermentation room. Here, the yeast is added (a one-of-a-kind strain developed over the last 125 years). Weaving its magic, it casts the spell that makes these celebrated Shropshire real ales legendary.

Committed to continuing brewing on-site, and following extensive refurbishment over the last decade, the current custodians of the brewery are honoured to uphold the heritage of the Three Tuns, a true pioneer of beer.
